Install JDK and BlueJ

Step 1: Install Java Development Kit(JDK):

Go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp, and select the latest JDK. As of the writing of this article, the latest JDK version is JDK 6 Update 14.

Once the installation package is downloaded, double click to start the installation process. You can keep all the default settings such as default JDK installation path.

Step 2: Install BlueJ

To install BlueJ, go to http://bluej.org and click “download” from the left panel.

Select the installation package specific to your Operating System. On windows, select bluejsetup-251.exe to download. When download is completed, double click

bluejsetup-251.exe to start the installation process.

For Windows, simply keep the default settings to install. For other Operating Systems or troubleshooting, click “go to the Installation Instructions”.
